CHRISTMAS 2021 - MY PLAN FOR ‘22
Hello everyone. There has been a lot going on over the last few months. I have a day job (well, a night job), Karta started at college, and we have moved into a small cottage tucked away in the corner of a small Kent village.
To this day, I am still concerned about the amount of data collected by most of the apps and digital services that we take for granted. Because of the still massive size of my digital footprint, I have decided to spend most of my spare time reducing that footprint. I reckon it will take the best part of 2022 to get this done.
Among the first things to go will be my social media accounts. I’m not going to delete them, instead suspend their use. I will remove the apps from my devices and only access them using a secure browser hidden behind a robust VPN.
What is the old saying, out of sight, out of mind?
I will have a smartphone free day once a week and try and use a camera to take pictures. As for my blog and this newsletter? Well, I will be making notes in my journal and transcribing some of them into this newsletter once a month.
That’s all for now. Look for my first letter of 2022 in January. Anyway, have a great Christmas, stay safe and don’t get too drunk.
Until next time, adieu!
